A call to account

The drum of war thunders and thunders.
It calls: thrust iron into the living.
From every country
slave after slave
are thrown onto bayonet steel.
For the sake of what?
The earth shivers
hungry
and stripped.
Mankind is vapourised in a blood bath
only so
someone
somewhere
can get hold of Albania.
Human gangs bound in malice,
blow after blow strikes the world
only for
someone’s vessels
to pass without charge
through the Bosporus.
Soon
the world
won’t have a rib intact.
And its soul will be pulled out.
And trampled down
only for someone,
to lay
their hands on
Mesopotamia.
Why does
a boot
crush the Earth — fissured and rough?
What is above the battles’ sky –
Freedom?
God?
Money!
When will you stand to your full height,
you,
giving them your life?
When will you hurl a question to their faces:
Why are we fighting?

Vladimir Mayakovsky (1917)

The immorality of capitalism.

By Anton

The capitalists are only concerned about one thing: money. They live the life they do because they have ruthlessly exploited others. The need to exploit more and to get more and more raw materials and wealth led to imperialism, and the aristocracy of the imperialist countries lived even more lavishly than before.

We see on the news that Africa is poor. Africa has a minority who have a vast amount of wealth because of foreign backers. These people are willing to allow imperialism to steal Africa’s natural resources.
Africa is not poor, Africa is being looted.

I may have digressed a little, and for that I apologise. A very small number of people have billions in their banks, live in opulence. Every $1 in their account is a dollar that is taken away from another. Will they spend that money? Do they need that money? No.

We must understand that the earth has enough resources for us all to live in abundance without damaging it, but we accept this society where a small few control over 80% of the wealth as the natural order of things.

For every one man who lives in luxury, leaves many more in poverty through his greed.

Opulence is sinful, and we all pay for it.

UKIP; ‘Get your money out of there while you’ve still got a chance’

UKIP full of shitThe moron leader of British political party UKIP Nigel Farage has told Brits to ‘Get your money out of there while you’ve still got a chance’ in a reference to those living in the Mediterranean.

Blaming the EU and suggesting that people should withdraw their money, with the UK in dire economic state should we also withdraw our money?

Maybe we should put it under our bed?

It reminds me of the Chinese woman who withdrew her life savings before the year 2000 fearing it would all be lost because of Y2K only for a fire to burn her home and money all away!

Yes the EU bank levy is crazy but UKIP’s alternative is also crazy!

Insurance, legal fraud

Massive FraudComplaints against insurance companies in the UK are dramatically on the rise.
The UK’s Financial Ombudsman Service said that they have received 2.5 times the amount of complaints relating to mis-sold loan insurance.

For example:
A double glazing company sells you double glazing (what are the odds!), you pay some money towards this and the rest you pay in instalments. The company does not offer this service. However they have two companies who will provide this service, one is a mainstream, high street bank and the other is a more obscure and lesser know bank (with a much higher interest rate).
The company has to check you have a good enough credit rating to be eligible, they come back and say that the mainstream bank said no but the other guys said yes so you can get your nice new double glazing.
When you question them, they say they don’t know why and then with true sales pitch they pressure you into signing up.

Banks have allegedly already set aside around £14 billion to compensate customers who were wrongly sold this payment protection insurance (PPI).
If this has happened to you, you may be able to claim you money back and get the rest of the payments cancelled.

A world without money; what would you do?

By Anton

When Johnny Rotten wrote anarchy in the UK, I bet he didn’t think it would come true. Sadly, our ‘future dream is a shopping scheme’.

The poor get poorer and the rich get richer, the worlds in deep shit with many people starving, people are losing their jobs, but we are being distracted from this by the ever adapting capitalism.
We live in a world where money is everything. We are raised to do jobs we don’t want to do, so we can carry on living to do a job we don’t enjoy.
So, here is my advice to you: if money was not relevant, what would you want to do for a job? Do what you desire!
Forget about the money, because if you say that getting the money is the most important thing then you will be wasting your time. You will be doing things that you don’t like doing in order to carry on living, that is doing things that you don’t like doing.

It’s better to live a short life of enjoyment, rather than a long life of misery.
